We launched a campaign on our digital channels to commemorate World Polio Day
¡Together, we can achieve a polio-free world forever!

At CEVAXIN, we join in the commemoration of #WorldPolioDay, a date that highlights global efforts to eradicate polio and underscores the crucial role of vaccination in protecting children from this devastating disease.

Thirty years ago, in August 1994, the Region of the Americas was certified as free of wild polio. Since then, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) has invited countries to maintain high vaccination coverage and strengthen surveillance to keep communities safe from the risk of a possible event or outbreak.

Today we also remember and thank all the mothers, fathers, caregivers, health workers and volunteers who, with their dedication, make it possible for vaccines to reach every child and every community. Without their efforts and commitment, the dream of a polio-free world would not be possible.

This date is not only a tribute to medical advancement, but also a tribute to Dr. Jonas Salk, the scientist who developed the first polio vaccine, saving millions of lives and making a lasting impact on public health.

Let's #EndPolio and protect future generations with the power of science and solidarity. Together, we can achieve a polio-free world forever.
